LYD 7 - Audiofanzine

"The near-field monitors of the Danish manufacturer are back with a new name and finish, although they do bear a resemblance to the old BM series. (...) Fortunately, the audio performance is still excellent, and that's what really matters!"

Audiofanzine is the biggest French online audio magazine. Well, in fact their audience stretches far beyond the borders of France, and this LYD 7 review has been published in English as well as French.

The review is a little unusual in the sense that it is the LYD 7 speakers that are in for review, but they are being compared directly to Audiofanzine's 7" reference monitors - in this case by Adam. The comparison conducted on three very different types of music to make sure all ground is covered.

Here is the conclusion:"The near-field monitors of the Danish manufacturer are back with a new name and finish, although they do bear a resemblance to the old BM series. The build quality is the same and they have preserved the overall balance that makes them a reliable bet for home studios. While the settings on the rear are very beginner-friendly (more or less brilliance, close to a wall or not, more lows or more power), it's a pity that the settings for the mids are gone. The same applies to the remote connector and the isoAcoustics stands. Fortunately, the audio performance is still excellent, and that's what really matters!"

And as a final note is should be mentioned that Audiofanzine asked to keep the LYD 7 monitors to make them their new reference speakers in the 7" category. Obviously, that was an easy decision. We're proud to have them at Audiofanzine as the monitors to measure others against!
